As a professional ADHD coach, I have the understanding, knowledge, and skills, to explore the complexities of ADHD with you.  My particular strengths lie in helping clients clarify their beliefs and what matters most to them and in developing strategies to enhance their true self in several areas.   Examples are:

· Creating vision and career direction
· Keeping on track for schedules and project/task completion
· Overcoming chronic lateness and clutter
· Relieving feelings of overwhelm
· Developing awareness of how ADHD affects interactions & impacts relationships
· Rediscovering individual strengths and reframing weaknesses into opportunities for  action.

Finally, you will come to see your ADHD challenges not only as manageable but as a catalyst to a successful life!

Strategy Session
Services start with a one and one-half hour strategy session where we will find out how ADHD manifests in your life.  We will then develop a plan based on what changes you would like to take place.  We will also discuss which level of service will best support your intentions after this point.  By the end of the session, you will walk away with specific strategies and techniques to put in place immediately that will jump start you on your way to being successful.

Coaching Programs
My coaching program begins at three months. I also offer a six month program.  We coaches have learned that most goals take at least three months or more to realize.  Typically, clients choose either weekly sessions, or three per month. Customized programs are available, designed to work best for the client’s particular goal, schedule and budget.

Coaching Programs for Children Grades K-12

Strategy Session with Parent(s)

Services start with a one and one-half hour strategy session where we will find out how ADHD currently manifests in your child’s life.  Typically, for children up through 6th grade, I will mostly speak with the parent(s).  In order to see improvement in a child’s behavior, change needs to also take place in the parent’s behavior towards the child.  We will develop a plan on what changes you would like to take place that will empower your parenting approach to your child’s ADHD symptoms from a constant disciplinary/reactive mode to a more nurturing/proactive one.  We will also discuss which level of service will best support your intentions after this session.  By the end of our session, you will walk away with specific strategies and techniques to put in place immediately that will jump start you and your child to being successful.

Coaching Programs for Parents of K-6th Grade Children
My coaching program begins at three months. I also offer a six month program.  We coaches have learned that most change involving new routines and new habits take at least three months or more to realize.  Typically, clients choose either weekly sessions, or three per month. If you live within a half hour driving time, I can offer to come to your house where we can look to see how the home can be made more ADD friendly for your child.  If homework is an issue, I can show you and your child strategies and tips that can help your child stay focused and improve their executive functioning skills.  After that point, sessions are usually conducted with the parent only.  When home visits are no longer necessary, sessions will be done over the phone.  Rewards and incentives are key to maintaining motivation for a child, so those areas and other behavioral challenges that you want to be addressed will certainly be discussed. Practice time (or parent homework) of new communication styles and approaches by the parent to the child is done in between sessions.  Customized programs are available, designed to work best for the parent’s particular goal, schedule and budget.

Coaching Programs for Parents of 7th-12th Grade Children
My services are basically the same as the K-6th description above with the exception of more time may be spent with the child directly.  As the child’s desire for independence from the parent increases, I match that in my coaching approach with this age group.

Typically it’s those executive functioning skills that are weakened by ADHD and it is those skills that are called upon in school in this grade level group with greater frequency and expectation.   My coaching will empower the child with compensating strategies and routines to help them better manage their ADHD that impacts these skills.  In consultation with the parent, incentives are developed and accountability measures are put in place to support the student’s new strategies and routines.  The parent’s role is a more supportive approach and some coaching sessions for the parents are included.
